\/>\nregarding the relationships between games (digital and analog), the people who play them<br \/>\n(their senses and meanings) and the collectives that develop them, with an emphasis on<br \/>\npopulation diversity and of communities, markers of difference (gender, race, sexuality,<br \/>\nclass, disability, geography, etc.), in addition to contexts of vulnerability and exclusion<br \/>\nwithin the game culture.<\/p>\n<h3>Call for Participation<\/h3>\n<p>The main focus of the Games and Diversity activity is to reflect on the relationships<br \/>\nbetween game players or developers and the games themselves in contexts of population<br \/>\nand community diversity, markers of difference (gender, race, sexuality, class, disability,<br \/>\ngeography, etc.) and vulnerability and exclusion within the gaming culture.<br \/>\nYou are invited to submit research papers in the following formats:<\/p>\n<p><b>&#8211; Short papers<br \/>\n&#8211; Full papers<br \/>\n&#8211; Panel Discussion<br \/>\n&#8211; Games and Diversity Showcase<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Formats<\/h3>\n<p>It is important to emphasize that all submissions must be original, that is, unpublished works, not published or presented in any type of events or vehicles for scientific dissemination. Any work that has been previously published, or is being presented simultaneously at events or a magazine, will be rejected. In the evaluation process, the scientific contribution of the work, its originality, clarity and rigor of the methodology will be considered, as well as references to existing literature and games.<\/p>\n<p>Among the themes covered by the activity are, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social, political, historical and educational impacts of digital game cultures;<\/li>\n<li>Criticism and journalism about digital games that are part of Various Games;<\/li>\n<li>Productions of digital game communities in atypical situations;<\/li>\n<li>Digital games and difference markers (race, gender, sexuality, class, geography);<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of oppression and exclusion patterns in games (misogyny, homo \/ lesbo \/ transphobia, racism, classism, capacitism, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Representativeness in games and industry;<\/li>\n<li>Games as a tool of justice and \/ or social awareness and learning;<\/li>\n<li>Production and circulation alternatives to the industrial game production system;<\/li>\n<li>Empathy games.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Full Papers<\/h3>\n<p>These are works that have already completed research, or are in an advanced stage of completion and present an original contribution from the research results. Articles can be submitted in both Portuguese and English and must have a minimum of seven (7) pages and a maximum of ten (10) pages.<\/p>\n<h3>Short Papers<\/h3>\n<p>They are small articles that show research in an early stage of development, or even a<br \/>\ncompleted research, at the undergraduate or graduate level. They can be submitted in<br \/>\nPortuguese or English, and are limited to four (4) pages.<\/p>\n<h3>Panel Discussion<\/h3>\n<p>Proposals for panel discussion on a specific topic (difference markers, criticism, economic arrangements, etc.). The names of the participants (between 3 and 5) must include their mini-curricula, the name and mini-curriculum of the moderator, as well as the main theme of the table and the script of topics to be discussed. The duration of the<br \/>\nexpected table presentation is 60 minutes (specify in the proposal if you think a longer time and how much would be more appropriate).<\/p>\n<h3>Games and Diversity Showcase<\/h3>\n<p>We invite you to participate in the exhibition of Diversity Games. During the activity,<br \/>\ngames whose theme is related to difference markers (race, gender, sexuality, class,<br \/>\ngeography) will be shown. In addition to the theme of the game, works organized by<br \/>\npeople who identify themselves as belonging to these markers, who work in the<br \/>\nindependent scenario and who are claiming the protagonism of their place of speech are<br \/>\nalso welcome.<\/p>\n<p>To submit your game, send a presentation in pdf format, with a maximum of 04 pages.<br \/>\nSome content suggestions: Game description, features, screenshots, link and 3<br \/>\ndownload keys (if any), links to videos (if any).<br \/>\nYou should also include some introductory paragraphs (yours, or the group&#8217;s), as well as<br \/>\nyour relationship \/ relationship of the game to the characteristics of a diverse game.<\/p>\n<h3>Comments<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions will be made electronically through the JEMS System. Articles (Short papers) and tables will be submitted to a blind review system. Thus, authors should avoid including information that allows their identification (name, affiliation, explicit self-references, project names, etc.).<\/p>\n<h3>Presentation of Works<\/h3>\n<p>The accepted Full Papers will be presented in thematic sections, in which each author will have an exclusive time to explain their work and after all the exhibitions, we will have a panel discussion. The duration of the presentation and the debate will be announced in advance.<\/p>\n<p>Accepted Short Papers will be presented at thematic panels, with other authors andmediator. All participants and<br \/>\nmoderators must be registered with SBGames and be present during the event.<\/p>\n<h3>Publication<\/h3>\n<p>Scientific articles will be published after the event, in the Annals of SBGames 2020 and<br \/>\nmust be presented at the symposium by at least one of the authors, duly registered for<br \/>\nthe event. If the accepted paper is not presented, the article will be excluded from the<br \/>\nannals.<\/p>\n<p>The author (s) must therefore, and obligatorily, agree with the Copyright Term (link). Please<br \/>\nread the Term (s) before submitting your work in the final version. Authors who do not<br \/>\nagree with the terms of publication should not submit their work. The same will be<br \/>\ndisclosed in advance.<\/p>\n<h3>Blind Review System<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions will be made electronically through the JEMS portal. Papers will be  submitted in the Blind Review system (blind review). In this system, authors cannot include direct information that allows their identification (name, affiliation, etc.).
